Saint Louis, MO, June 11, 2019 The Grand Chess Tour and the Saint Louis Chess Club are pleased to announce the names of the three wildcards that will complete the field for the 2019 Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz tournament. All three wildcards have been impressive with their recent results both internationally and in local events held by the Saint Louis Chess Club. The three wildcards that will complete the field are:

GM Dominguez will be returning after a strong showing in the 2018 tournament and has since backed up his debut with a second-place finish in the 2019 U.S. Chess Championship. He will be earning his second GCT wildcard but will be playing under the flag of the United States this time around.

GM Rapport, after a strong showing in the 2019 Champions Showdown in Saint Louis, rounds out the field as the final wildcard. His enterprising style makes him capable of beating anyone, and he will be looking to put in another strong performance when he returns to Saint Louis in August.

The Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz tournament will be followed by the Sinquefield Cup, which has been expanded to feature twelve full tour participants for the first time in its history. The full player lists for both events are now confirmed and read as follows:
