See You In Saint Louis

A staple event since 2017, The 2021 Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz was the fourth and final rapid and blitz tournament in the 2021 GCT schedule. At the end of the final day of the event Hikaru Nakamura was crowned the champion of the 2021 Saint Louis Rapid and Blitz. The American speed demon demonstrated impressive form throughout the event, clinching a clear first place with 3 rounds to spare and ultimately winning $37,500.00 for his efforts. This 2021 win marked Hikaru’s second victory of the Saint Rapid in Blitz with the previous victory happening in 2018. Fabiano Caruana narrowly edged out Richard Rapport to capture clear 2nd place and an equally nice paycheck of $25,000.00.
