Yangyi Yu

Yu Yangyi is a Chinese Grandmaster who earned his title at the age of 14 years, 11 months in 2009. He is currently the number two ranked player in China and only narrowly missed out on selection as a full tour participant for the 2019 GCT season. He was a member of the gold medal winning Chinese teams at both the 41st and 43^rd Chess Olympiads. At the 2014 Chess Olympiad in Tromso he also won the individual gold medal on board 3 with a performance rating of 2912, the best of the entire event.
